Filming of HBO’s The Last of Us is taking over Fort Macleod

Hollywood films such as GhostBusters Afterlife, Interstellar and Let Him Go have been filmed in the town of Fort Macleod. Currently Main Street is the set for HBO’s series The Last of Us. Main Street has been transformed into three different sets throughout the last two days, with business names being changed, awnings and flags being added, as well as props, lighting and cables set up throughout the downtown. 

Chief Administrative Officer with the Town of Fort Macleod, Sue Keenan, says hosting these big productions is a great way of bringing revenue into the region. 

The Last of Us features stars such as Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. Filming is expected to wrap up on Sunday before the cast and crew head to Calgary.
