Encampments moving to Lethbridge River Valley

Lethbridge City officials say an increasing number of encampments are being discovered and dismantled in Lethbridge’s river valley. In a report presented to City Council on July 9, general manager of community social development, Andrew Malcolm, says the city’s Encampment Strategy has resulted in some changes in the nature and location of encampments. He says some of the encampments are being constructed of more permanent materials such as wood and other building materials and are being found in harder to reach locations.
