Edmonton man charged for duel drug trafficking offences

The Lethbridge Police Service have charged a 23-year-old Edmonton man with drug trafficking offences after he was arrested in back-to-back incidents in late December.

On December 30, 2025, the Crime Suppression Team observed a subject in a blue Honda Accord in activity consistent with drug trafficking. Police initiated a traffic stop, before officers observed a male subject attempting to swallow multiple baggies of suspected cocaine.

The man was arrested and police seized just over 14 grams of cocaine, 30 unknown pills and over $700 in cash after a vehicle search.

The next day of December 31st, members of the Crime Suppression Team and Property Crimes Unit observed the same subject in the same vehicle conduct a meeting with a man in a Chevrolet Impala in a residential area in Coalhurst conducting a suspicious transaction. Police arrested both subjects as they each attempted to return to their vehicles.

Police search both vehicles and seized $7,900 in cash and four ounces of cocaine.

A search warrant was obtained and executed for a home at Devonia Circle West, which was operating as an Airbnb. Nearly $16,500 in cash was seized.

23-year-old Gavan Ray Workman of Edmonton is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000 and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000. After his second arrest on December 31, Workman was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court January 22.

19-year-old Connor Normand Quinn of Spruce Grove is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000. He was released from custody and will also appear in court on January 22nd.
