Dragon Boat Fest returns to Henderson Lake this weekend

This weekend, the Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival returns to Henderson Lake. One of the most anticipated events of the summer, the free community festival brings dragon boat teams from across Western Canada together for exciting competition on the water, along with entertainment, food, and refreshments on shore.

The Dragon Boat Fest began 25 years ago with the first team affiliated with the Restorative Bridge program for cancer survivors. It was created as a way to support rehabilitation and recovery after surgery. Since then, the festival has grown significantly and now features up to 78 teams.
