Downtown BRZ executive director, Tulene Steiestol sees room for optimism
The downtown BRZ in Lethbridge has a new executive director. Tulene Steiestol came to Lethbridge from the Canmore region, after working with various nonprofits and growing up in the Crowsnest Pass. She says she is excited for what’s to come in the Downtown Festival Square when restrictions are lifted.
She also shared how businesses can capitalize on the forced shutdown during the pandemic.
“I think that businesses can really focus in what they do well, and what they specialize in. Maybe they’ve been offering services that weren’t well used or almost became a little bit redundant, so those businesses have had a chance to really take stock of what they are doing, and maybe get a little bit more focused on things that have been profitable,” says Steiestol.
Steiestol is replacing former director, Ted Stilson who retired at the end of 2020.
