Frostbite can occur within minutes in the coming days. Naturally, our thoughts turn to those who don’t have a comfortable warm place to go including many of the city’s most vulnerable. Ken Kissick of Streets Alive Mission says although frostbite is one of their biggest concerns, he adds there is a lot of adequate indoor space where the displaced can go for safety.
He also reminds the community that donations of warm clothing, hats, mitts and winter footwear is very much needed.
