Dog and bystander rescued from coulees

A dog and its would-be rescuer are happy to be alive and uninjured following the dog falling off the edge of a cliff in the Lethbridge coulees over the weekend.  Community Animal Services were called to the scene early on Saturday to help rescue the pooch which had landed on a ledge about halfway down the cliff.

Fortunately, both the dog and the bystander did not sustain serious injuries.  The owner of the dog was located a short time later, and no enforcement action was issued against her.
