What will assassination attempt do to political landscape?

The FBI is investigating Saturday’s shooting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania as an attempted assassination and act of domestic terror. However, authorities say a motive has not yet been identified. And it appears there may have been some security failures that allowed a gunman to get to such a vantage point and open fire at the former U.S. President.
