Concerns are being raised by the Health Sciences Association of Alberta that the province is allegedly canceling recruitment for frontline healthcare professionals. They say it is part of a hiring freeze to manage an operating deficit. The folks with Friends of Medicare say now is not the time for a hiring freeze and that our province needs a healthcare workforce plan.
