Canada Post strike and Christmas shopping have delivery scams on the rise

Scammers never take holidays, and Christmas time is a busy season for fraudsters.  BCN’s Naveen Day reached out to the Better Business Bureau to learn more about the scams that are currently trending.

According to the BBB Serving Southern Alberta and East Kootenay, consumers coast to coast will spend 15-billion dollars over the holiday season. And millions of those dollars to be stolen by crooked Grinches. Wes Lafortune with the BBB says scammers are taking advantage of consumers by impersonating delivery services.

if you are a victim of a scam, contact your local police non-emergency line.  And you can also make a report to the BBB on their scam tracker webpage.
