Blast from the past with Lethbridge Broncos jersey’s for Canes

Here’s a blast from the past. The Lethbridge Hurricanes will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Lethbridge Broncos championship team from 1982-83. The Canes will wear special throwback jersey’s tonight at the Enmax Centre against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Kathy Hong, the marketing and community liaison for the Canes, says the jerseys will then be auctioned off online afterwards.

“We’re really excited to have the members, quite a few members of the 1982-83 Broncos with us for the game tonight. Just being able to recognize their 40th anniversary of their WHL championship win. It’s a big part of our history, for sure, for the organization, and we’re really excited to be able to celebrate them.”

Members of the Broncos championship team will be in attendance and will be honoured during a pregame ceremony. There is also a chance for autographs after with members of the team.
