Big Truck Petting Zoo returns this weekend

This weekend the Lethbridge Public Library along with the city’s public operations department are bringing back their Big Truck Petting Zoo event. This Saturday at the library’s public crossings branch parking lot, you will be able to learn about and climb on top of some of the city’s biggest fleet vehicles. An official with the library says this is the first time they have held the event since the start of the pandemic.

“We ran the event in 2019 and that was the first time we had ran it, and we had I’d say around 2,000 people show up, we had expected around 300, so it was a really huge turnout. Probably one of our most popular events here at the crossings branch. We weren’t able to run it obviously during the pandemic and now we are and we are so excited because people have been asking about it and we are getting a lot of positive feedback from library visitors, so we are very excited,” said Sarah Head, Manager of Branch Services for the Lethbridge Public Library.

The event will go Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the west side of the city.
