BBB warns of scary Halloween shopping scams

Fake Halloween deals could leave online shoppers with more than a bad costume. The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about fraudulent websites and ads offering deeply discounted Halloween products.

These scams can expose shoppers’ personal and banking information through malicious links.

 Lafortune says anyone who loses money or shares personal or banking information with scammers should report it to police through the non-emergency line, the Better Business Bureau, and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
