BBB provides tips to combat cold weather scams

The Better Business Bureau of southern Alberta is warning consumers about a recent spike in complaints for furnace and duct cleaning. These are issues surrounding warranty, billing concerns, and shoddy work. The Media and Communications Specialist for the BBB, Wes Lafortune, says he has some tips for you to look out for if you are going to hire these companies.

Lafortune also says to find out about WCB coverage, liability insurance, and criminal background checks of a company.
