Another Free Potato Friday at the Food Bank

The Lethbridge Food Bank is hosting another Free Potato Friday event tomorrow.

Anyone can drop down between11 a.m. and 4 pm to receive a free box or bag of potatoes.

Last Friday, the Food Banks gave away around 4,000 pounds of spuds. In return, they received over $450 in cash donations from grateful recipients.

The Food Bank decided the host the Free Potato Fridays after they were blessed with some thirteen thousand pounds of potatoes from local producers, which was more than they could use for their clients.

Anyone interested in free potatoes is asked to drive up to the east side of the Food Bank and volunteers will help you load up. Please bring your own bag or box.
