Alberta’s first cancer clinical trial outside Calgary and Edmonton

The Jack Ady Cancer Centre in Lethbridge will host a new trial evaluating whether radiation treatments can be safely reduced for prostate cancer patients in southern Alberta. By studying if treatment schedules can be shortened and tailored to individual needs, the trial seeks to lessen the burden on patients while keeping cutting-edge research close to home.

The initiative aligns with Cancer Care Alberta’s 10-year strategy to expand clinical trial access across the province, ensuring patients outside major metropolitan areas can access cutting-edge research.
