More than 50,000 Alberta teachers trudged back to the classrooms on Wednesday after back to work legislation was passed by the Alberta government.
Under the law the teachers will get a 12% raise over four years, with the majority of teachers getting 17%. The UCP has pledged to hire 3,000 more teachers and hire hundreds of classroom assistants.
