Alberta irrigation district announces 50% allocation increase

Members of the St Mary River Irrigation District have set this year’s water allocation at 12 inches, a 50% increase from 2024.

The SMRID is the largest irrigation district in North America, with over two thousand kilometers in canals covering 518,000 acres.
