Alberta Govermnet provides more funding for shelter expansion
There will be more help available to those who are battling homeless issues in Lethbridge. The Alberta government announced today that the city’s Indigenous led emergency shelter will be expanded. Officials say once complete the existing shelter will have capacity expanded from 120 to more than 230 spaces. That includes a dedicated room for on-site recovery oriented services. Officials say the funding through the Affordable Housing Partnership Program, helped to accommodate the expansion.
