Air Line Pilots Assoc. update on WestJet contract talks

Contract negotiations continue between WestJet and its regional pilots. You may recall the mainline pilots reached a deal with the airline last May. The chair of the WestJet Encore Master Executive Council of the Air Line Pilots Association says they have been trying to get a new deal done for the last seven months. Bridge City News reached out to WestJet for comment and company officials responded with an email which read: “Our focus remains at the bargaining table. We are committed to achieving an agreement that addresses their unique concerns and is competitive within Canada’s airline industry. We believe with a commitment from the parties involved an agreement is achievable.”
