Community-Foundation announces largest bequest in its 60-year history

A bequest of more than 14 million, 200 thousand dollars is the latest gift received by the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta.
The generous donation is the estate of Marguerite Dixson, supporting six charitable organizations. The Calgary woman’s gift is the largest single bequest in the foundation’s 60-year history.
The Lethbridge and District Humane Society, the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association, and the Calgary and Lethbridge St. John’s Ambulance chapters are three of the recipients.
Other organizations that received the support include the Calgary Humane Society and the Claresholm Animal Rescue Society.
