Poor air quality in Lethbridge due to smoke from SK wildfires

Wildfire smoke is also causing poor air quality right here in Lethbridge and surrounding areas. Environment and Climate Change Canada reported that the poor air quality is due to smoke from wildfires occurring in Saskatchewan. Christy Climenhaga, a scientist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, says as smoke levels increase, so do health risks, and we will continue to see some smoke in the area over the next 24 to 36 hours.

The Environment and Climate Change official says certain populations are at greater risk from wildfire smoke, such as seniors, smokers, infants, young children, and pregnant women
