Week without violence program returns at YWCA

Sadly, domestic violence still exists in many homes in Alberta. The YWCA Lethbridge and District has launched its annual campaign called The Week Without Violence.  Lorien Johansen who is with the YWCA marketing and communications team says around the world, different organizations join forces to end violence against women, girls, and gender diverse people. She says since violence is increasing it is important to have this program back. Johansen says the YWCA will host a group of free information sessions from Oct the 15^th til the 19^th. They will include educational programs focused on guidance through the legal and justice system, self-defense classes and yoga.
