New rules for taking your pooch across border
If you’re a dog owner who likes to travel across the border with your furry companion – whether it’s by land, air or sea – you should be aware there are some new restrictions the U.S. will be imposing on canines (including service dogs) beginning August 1.
Initially the rules, which were announced earlier this month, were much stricter but due to pushback by the Canadian government, our friends south of the border have eased up on some of those mandates allowing a nine-month grace period for review. BCN’s Jeannette Rocher has the details.
