Cycling lanes will remain, says City

The City’s new cycling lanes will remain in place in Lethbridge, and construction plans will resume on the 7 Street south portion of the lanes from 4 Ave south to 7 ave south.

There has been much contention about these lanes ever since they were opened last fall.  But in an 8-1 vote City Council approved a motion to keep them in place, which has cyclists who are concerned for their personal safety, rejoicing, and business owners dreading the impeding construction.  Jeannette Rocher has the full story.
