Israel-Hamas ceasefire extended by two days

A four-day ceasefire, which was due to expire Monday between Israel and Hamas, has been extended by two days. Israel offered to keep the ceasefire in place if Palestinian militants free more hostages. So far, 62 of the roughly 240 hostages captured by Hamas on October 7 have been released in exchange for Israeli-held Palestinian prisoners.

BCN’s Jeannette Rocher speaks with The Foreign Desk’s, Lisa Daftari who weighs in on this situation as well as Russia’s largest drone attack on Ukraine since the start of their invasion nearly two years ago.
