When most of us think about Remembrance Day and the war it’s usually about the soldiers and veterans themselves who come to mind. But there is so much more to the story. During the Second World War thousands of young European women left their families and homes behind to follow their Canadian soldier husbands back to Canada. These women today are known as War Brides.
BCN’s Jeannette Rocher caught up with a 100-year-old war bride in the town of Taber, Alberta.
