YWCA Lethbridge & District receives donation from Lethbridge & District Exhibition lottery program

The YWCA Lethbridge and District has received a cheque of over $13,000 thanks to the Lethbridge and District Exhibition’s lottery campaign. Back in February the 50/50 lottery launched and ran throughout Whoop Up Days. Jill Young, the CEO of the YWCA explains how the money will be used.

“So YWCA is a nonprofit. We are a registered charity, and we offer a number of different services. Obviously, our Harbour House is our largest program, which is our women and children’s emergency shelter, but we offer a number of different programs that support various different community services throughout Lethbridge. And so we are going to be putting this money directly into those programs.”

This was the second year the exhibition hosted this lottery program.
