Coaldale Mayor Jack Van Rijn has officially announced his candidacy for re-election in the October 2025 General Municipal Election. Van Rijn says one of his goals for the upcoming term is to ensure Coaldale continues to thrive for future generations as a welcoming and progressive community. The candidate also mentioned key accomplishments during his 2021-2025 term.
Van Rijn says his priorities for the next term will focus on infrastructure, public service improvements, community development, economic growth, public safety, and healthcare.
