University of Calgary study shows Chinook winds are a common trigger for migraines

The past week, Lethbridge has been dealing with Chinook winds. These types of winds are said to be triggers for people who deal with migraines. A study out of the University of Calgary shows many patients are sensitive to chinook winds. A retired professor of Clinical Neurosciences and Medicine Werner Becker says most migraines happen when the barometric pressure drops. If you are a migraine sufferer, Becker says the best way to treat the headache is with medication.
