Travis Toews makes the trip to Lethbridge for chamber event

Alberta’s Finance Minister and the President of the Treasury Board, Travis Toews, was in Lethbridge today for a meet and greet luncheon hosted by the Chamber. Toews fielded questions and outlined what the UCP will be doing to prepare for the upcoming provincial election and highlighted the 2023 budget.

We asked Minister Toews what the party has to do to shore up support in our city and if there are any upcoming capital projects in the works for Lethbridge.

“Obviously, Highway 3 has been a priority of ours. We signaled that priority as part of our economic recovery plan way back in- it would have been in the summer of 2020. Irrigation has also been a priority of Albertans in this region and it’s been a priority for our government. But there will be additional infrastructure announcements with budget 2023.”

The Alberta provincial election will take place on May 29th.
