Traffic changes to 13th Street and 5th Avenue North

Speaking of Lethbridge traffic, motorists may notice a change in the northside of the city. The City is introducing alternating left turn signals along 13 Street North, beginning with the intersection at 5 Avenue North. During one cycle, northbound drivers will get the flashing green arrow to turn left onto 5 Avenue North. In the next cycle, southbound traffic will get the arrow. They say the new system will give each group of drivers a clear and safe chance to turn left and will keep traffic flowing smoothly. The change will take place on March 25. If proven effective at this intersection, more may follow suit.
