Town of Raymond to receive new LED lighting for the Ice Arena, Community Pool
The Town of Raymond is going to shine a little brighter thanks the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre’s (MCCAC) Recreation Energy Conservation Program. The Town has partnered with the MCCAC, which is a non-profit group that works to help communities address climate adaptation goals and become more energy efficient. Both the ice arena and community pool have received new high efficiency LED lighting.
Municipal Energy Manager, with the Town of Raymond, Peter Casurella, says the group helps municipalities to become more energy conscious and environmentally friendly.
The MCCAC covered 75 per cent of the total cost for the two new facilities. In 2019, Raymond became the first net zero municipality in the country.
