This year’s Christmas Tree Collection donations will go towards local school

The annual Christmas Tree Collection program will be taking place Saturday. For over 20 years, the city has been partnering with local youth groups to keep the holiday spirit alive even after Christmas. This year Senator Buchanan Elementary School will be doing some collecting to fundraise for their school. The principal of the school says part of the money collected this year will go towards purchasing more computers. If you would like to donate your Christmas tree, all the decorations and lights must be taken off by 7 am in order to be collected.
