The River Valley fire ban is back into effect

The River Valley fire ban is back into effect due to the current weather conditions, including warmer temperatures and low humidity. The Chief Fire Marshal for Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services, Troy Hicks, says the change in weather dictates the decision.

A River Valley Fire ban prohibits all open fires in the River Valley – including City-owned land, campgrounds and private property. This includes campfires, fire pits, charcoal BBQs and other outdoor burning in the River Valley.
