The Last of Us TV show to showcase Lethbridge High Level Bridge

The High Level Bridge is the longest and highest bridge of its kind across the globe spanning 1.6 kilometres and 314 feet high. It is still considered one of the great wonders of the world. The popular post-apocalyptic TV show called The Last of Us has the bridge featured in a shot in the upcoming 4th episode of the series.

The president of the Lethbridge Historical Society, Belinda Crowson, says it’s amazing that the bridge will be showcased in such a prestigious way.

“To see any part of Lethbridge in this TV show of course, it makes us very proud. We know we have amazing landscapes, amazing venues, amazing spaces, and it’s wonderful that the Americans are figuring that out as well for TV and movie productions. We know what bridge it is, we know where it is, but hopefully others will want and hopefully it will make others want to come see it when it’s actually really in existence and not just blown up in their future minds.”

The 1909 completion of the High Level Bridge was designated a National Historic Event by the Canadian government in 2005.
