Target Hunger Lethbridge seeks volunteers for 2021 food drive

On the second-Saturday of every June, Target Hunger Lethbridge hosts a food drive. Their volunteers collect donations from households in our city of the most wanted food items for our local food banks.  Volunteers are needed to help out in various areas.

The Target Hunger Organizing Committee is hoping to involve as many people as possible in the initiative of collecting food donations for both the Lethbridge Food Bank and the Interfaith Food Bank Society.

The initiative usually aims to raise 100,000 pounds of food.  This year they have set a goal of 50,000 due to the pandemic, which has made it more difficult to acquire volunteers

The online volunteer signup tool on targethungerlethbridge.com opens on May 1st.
