Taber Cornfest returns with new attractions and events

This is the season of festivals in southern Alberta. We just got out of Whoop Up Days and now Taber Cornfest returns this week, bringing with it three days of family-friendly entertainment, live music, activities, and of course food – especially its famous corn! The annual festival runs August 27 to 29, with organizers introducing new attractions while continuing some of the traditions that have made Cornfest a popular Southern Alberta event. Organizers say the event draws thousands of visitors to Taber each year, providing a boost to local businesses and showcasing the community and its agricultural roots.  The event kicks off with a parade at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
