We often talk about donating to our community foodbanks but tend to forget our local veterans also have one. There will be an opportunity to support our veterans and their families this Saturday by providing them with non-perishable food items.
The Veterans Association Food Bank will be on-scene at the West Lethbridge Save-On-Foods on April 18th from 10am to 4pm for residents to ‘Stuff the Van’ with food, hygiene and other essential items. The Operations Coordinator for the Lethbridge branch says they are hoping this is the first of many community initiatives they intend to start.
The not-for-profit organization has donated thousands of hampers towards Veterans and their families across Alberta in just the past year.
