Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health partnering with local shelter

The YWCA Lethbridge & District has partnered with Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health for an initiative that helps to support various shelters across the province. All donations can be collected at any Shoppers Drug Mart or by going online and the money raised will go towards supporting the Harbour House’s services and its clients.   

“Two out of five women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. You know, it could be your friends, your family, your coworkers. So money like this just allows us to increase advocacy. It allows us for an increased access to care so that maybe there’s a possibility there’s more access to our types of services for women that are in need of those services, as opposed to women and children alike not being able to access those services because there just isn’t enough or there isn’t enough funding there for them to be supported.”

The initiative is running until October 6th.
