SAAG Celebrates 50 Years with Excite Lethbridge Partnership

The Southern Alberta Art Gallery (SAAG) and Excite Lethbridge are expanding the footprint of the arts in Lethbridge through an innovative new partnership at the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre (LTCC).
Beginning in Spring 2026, SAAG will curate a series of free, small-scale, contemporary art exhibitions throughout the convention centre’s (LTCC’s) publicly accessible spaces, offering corresponding public programs throughout the year. Su Ying Strang, the Executive Director of SAAG, explains what’s planned as part of the gallery’s 50th anniversary.
She says, the first opening reception at the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre will take place on March 28th, featuring artist Hali Heavy Shield.
