Reptiles on full display at Whoop Up Days

The mythical dragon has lived in our imaginations for quite a long time.

Of course there are real reptiles that share a close similarity to the creatures.

The Wildlife Festival Living Dragons exhibit is showcasing a wide variety of snakes and reptiles at Whoop Up Days this year.

Staff with the Wildlife Festival told us what we can expect if we take a trip down to the exhibit.

“We have primarily snakes and lizards along with us today. It is a lot of animals that look or have history being part dragon. A lot of our lizards and bigger lizards that we have here look really, really cool. And a lot of our snakes just they’re all tied into that whole time period. And the look and the craziness of the mythical dragon, all of that stuff. We kind of just had an idea and went with it,” says Wil Denhertog, the volunteer coordinator with the Wildlife Festival.

The Living Dragons exhibit is located in the Salon A room of the new Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre.
