Red flags to watch for in teen relationships

Many people would argue that young people may not be experts when it comes to romantic relationships. Experts say that is why they sometimes fall into toxic relationships without knowing how to identify the warning signs. Kristine Cassie, executive director of the Chinook Sexual Assault in Lethbridge, explains how to identify those behaviors when a relationship is not going well. According to Stats Canada between 2009 and 2022 more than 41-thousand young Canadians aged 15 to 17 were the victims of teen dating violence.    

Heidi Echavarria

Heidi was born in Bogota, Colombia and lived there until she was 18, then she moved to Caracas, Venezuela where she finished her bachelor's degree in journalism. Since 2010 she covered political issues related to the government of former president Hugo Chávez and his political opponents, management, death and transition to a new government.
