Rape myths debunked in art installation

Rape myths were debunked on Thursday morning by way of an art installation that was created back in 2013 at the University of Arkansas. Staff with the Sexual Violence Action Committee met with members of the Lethbridge media to discuss the recent project. We must warn you that the piece of art creating a conversation about sexual assault could be triggering for some viewers. Video Journalist Micah Quinn has the story.

What Were You Wearing is a project that helps tell the stories of sexual assault survivors and is meant to to let them know that it was never a specific item of clothing that caused the assault.

The Sexual Violence Action Committee was started around 20 years ago to help provide supports and services to victims of sexual violence in Lethbridge.

The art installation will be open to the public at the Sandman Hotel on Mayor Magrath Drive until Friday afternoon.
