With Remembrance Day approaching, New West Theatre is presenting a new play about a Second World War veteran, Hank Dunfield, as he approaches his 100th birthday. “Flight Risk” is written by award-winning Alberta playwright Meg Braem.
Although the veteran Hank has no interest in celebrating his birthday, nursing student Sarah is assigned to keep an eye on him. As the two form an unexpected friendship, the story explores independence, dignity and what it means to live life on your own terms.
Flight Risk runs from Oct 15 to 24th at the Sterndale Bennett Theater
