New fire station in West Lethbridge to open

The west side of Lethbridge is primed and ready to open their newest fire station on June 21st. A total of $9.2-million dollars was spent to build Fire Station Number 5 which features three drive-through bays, living quarters, along with support and training areas. The Deputy Chief of Strategic Services for the Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services, Greg Adair, says the new facility will serve residents of the west side well. Adair says the addition of a second fire station on the west side will allow for quicker response times.
