Mustard Seed awaiting approval from city

For months, Christian organization, the Mustard Seed has been trying to find a home for sober housing in Lethbridge. In January they were denied provincial approval to move into the Ramada and neighbouring Chinook motel.  They have since set their sights on a building on 13th St. South — this building would be different.  A sober shelter for temporary use.  Lethbridge City Council will complete its final reading on Tuesday for the nonprofit’s zoning application.

The group also has plans to work alongside the soup kitchen. Lethbridge soup kitchen’s executive director Bill Ginther doesn’t expect the Mustard Seed to keep looking in Lethbridge if the most recent application is denied.
