Milling & paving work begins on city roads
City crews have started to work on milling and paving city streets – and are telling residents to watch out for road closures across local, collector, and arterial roads. Crews will complete their work into three steps of pruning trees and clearing loose debris, removing existing asphalt, then applying new asphalt to an entire stretch of road.
The City is adding stretches of major arterial roads this summer, including:
- 28 Street North, from 15A Avenue North to 14 Avenue North
- 43 Street North (southbound), from 2 Avenue North to the CPKC Railway Line
- 43 Street North (northbound), from the CPKC Railway Line to 9 Avenue North
- 5 Avenue North (eastbound), from 28 Street North to 29 Street North
- 5 Avenue North (westbound), from 36 Street North to 39 Street North
- Stafford Drive South, from 4 Avenue South to 5 Avenue South

Residents impacted by any work will be notified before work begins and are asked to follow posted signage and drive with caution. You can stay up to date on where crews will work and when road closures will be enforced at the City’s Interactive WebMAP.
