Medicine Hat to host Grand Slam of Curling in November
Southern Alberta will once again get a chance to host some of the best curlers in the world later this year.
The Grand Slam of Curling announced that Medicine Hat will host the GSOC Masters in November. Sixteen men’s and 16 women’s teams will compete at Co-op Place on November 3-8 plus the U21 GSOC tournament will take place at the Medicine Hat Curling Club from November 5-8. The tournament is certain to feature past world champions and Olympic medalists.
The city’s mayor, Linnsie Clark, says that they’re excited for the opportunity to showcase the strength of their facilities and the enthusiasm of their residents. Medicine Hat last hosted the Grand Slam of Curling back in 2013 at the old Medicine Hat Arena.
