Medicine Hat Police charge three in targeted shooting

Three Medicine Hat residents are facing charges in connection with a recent shooting.

On July 12th, police responded to a call from Medicine Hat Regional Hospital that a man had arrived with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Investigators determined the victim had been shot at a residence in the 600 block of 6 Street SW. After reviewing extensive CCTV footage, issuing search warrants, conducting witness interviews, and gathering forensic evidence, investigators ultimately determined the incident was a targeted attack involving multiple suspects.

Benjamin Adam, 45, of Medicine Hat has been charged with:

Adam is currently in provincial custody, having been sentenced on an unrelated matter following these events. He will be brought before the court pursuant to a judge’s order to answer the new charges.

Bodana Dye, 45, of Medicine Hat has been charged with:

Dye was released from custody by a justice of the peace following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on August 5, 2026.

Jade Holt, 26, of Medicine Hat has been charged with:

Holt was released from custody by a justice of the peace following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on July 29, 2026.
